Set in beautiful countryside in Shropshire we open Little Detton, our own home, seeking to share God's blessing with others.

The large dining room and lounge with beautiful views can accommodate groups and our animals can be seen at close quarters - Shetland Cattle, Jacob Sheep, Rare Breed Pigs, Ducks and Chickens all roaming free.

Our garden is a 'work in progress' where the prayer house is sited - also enjoying glorious views - the larger animals are prevented from roaming into the garden but the smaller animals find their way in!

 

Home cooked food is available using, where possible, ingredients produced by ourselves.

 

We run our home as a smallholding, where we keep and grow a variety of animals, poultry and bees, fruit and vegetables; these vary with the seasons.

 

We raise our animals and work the land as respectfully as we can using traditional, vintage farm equipment. We aim to be holistic and sustainable in the way we live here at Little Detton. We have Solar Panels with Battery Storage, utilising as much power from the solar as we can, the remainder comes from green energy sources. We harvest rainwater for use on the small holding and we compost everything we can to return goodness to the soil. We believe in working with nature, not trying to dominate it, increasing the wildlife in diversity and numbers.

 

During the year various activities can be open for visitors to join in with by arrangement.

 

We can also offers various crafts including - rustic woodwork, blacksmithing, jewellery and felt work. Painting, Pastels and craft materials available for guest's use.

 

Personal retreats, guided retreats, themed retreats and Spiritual Direction available, or just come for a time of rest and relaxation.
